Living in the Best Place on Earth features photographs taken by a group of young people who inhabit the social, spatial and economic margins of Greater Vancouver.

Beginning in 2011, these young people were invited to produce a series of photo essays around diverse themes.

The images they produced are embedded with personal biographies and trajectories, and illustrate what was at stake for them during a particular moment in their lives. However, the images also reflect young people’s desires to articulate new stakes in the city, and shared longings for different kinds of futures in Vancouver.
